The Fox and the Hound

Do you remember the time
when we were brothers, you and I?
In that time so long ago
when our ancestors played together
Undisturbed in the forest?

Ah yes, I remember a time near forgotten.
Truly we are brothers, you and I.
Though the years have changed us,
Made us enemies.

But I must eat to live,
And really, those chickens are fair game!

If some two-legged comes along
and decides to call them his own?

and never worry about dinner at all?

I could never leave my home
or give up my wildness.
Do not ask such a thing of me.
You have changed, hound.

turned you on the forest
When you were once it’s friend?

Much has happened between then and now.
You are right. I have changed.
The forest is my enemy, the two-legs are my friends.

So the forest is truly your enemy.
I am truly your enemy.
Well, you are truly mine.
I have no love to spare
for the hounds of men
and what you have become.
I must eat, and I will continue to steal your chickens.

Yes, we are truly enemies.
And if you try to steal from me,
I will try to stop you any way I can.
For I am a hound of man,
And to my duties I am true.
